Can Brian lead a team of rookies to the Championship?

After winning 4 WiffleATL championships with 4 different teams, former MVP Brian Donegan is leading his own team for the first time since the 2007 Banana Slugs. Unlike that team, which featured another established star in Josh Lowell, this Wiffle House team is a mystery, wrapped in an enigma.

In a veteran heavy league, the team only has two players with any experience, although Eric Strange and Jeremy John have established themselves as top performers in the Wiffle Dixie slow-pitch league. Eric led the league in home runs this spring, while Jeremy was the league's 2008 batting champion. If these players can adjust to Wiffle Atlanta pitching, this team has championship potential.

Although he pitched in mostly a relief role on the pitching rich Dodgers last season, Brian has established himself as one of the top pitchers in the league. If Jeremy can continue the success he had in his first outing and either Jonathan or Eric step up as a third option, the pitching staff should be able to match up with the best in the league.

Projection:
Wiffle House seems prone to a slow start due to the number of rookies on the roster, but pitching will keep them in position to win most games. This team will be a playoff caliber squad by the end of the season, and if they can hit enough, they have a chance to win it all.
